Trump VP Odds 2024

Trump is the leading candidate to win the Republican nomination. So, it should come as no surprise that the favorites to be the Republican VP candidate are all supporters of the former President. Anyone hoping to be the GOP nominee for the VP will likely need to be prepared to run alongside Trump.

Here are the current leaders to be Republican VP candidate in 2024:

Kristi Noem (+500)
Vivek Ramaswamy (+600)
Tucker Carlson (+800)
Elise Stefanik (+900)
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (+900)
Nikki Haley (+1000)

Five of the top six candidates have all made a point of supporting Trump in recent years. The lone exception is RFK Jr., who is currently running as an independent in the 2024 election. Kennedy would be a good pick for Trump if he wanted to bring in moderate voters along with his usual MAGA Republicans.

Who Will be Trump’s VP Pick in 2024?

Trump is listed at +125 to win the 2024 Presidential Election in futures wagers. He is the favorite despite not having participated in any of the Republican Primary debates. Trump has also not announced yet who his running mate will be.

There are six potential candidates listed at 10-1 odds or shorter to be Trump’s VP pick. Kristi Noem (+500) is the betting favorite, with Nikki Haley (+1000) rounding out the top six.

Kristi Noem (+500)

Sports betting sites have South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (+500) as the favorite to be the Republican Nominee for VP. Noem was endorsed by Trump during her 2018 gubernatorial campaign. She has continued to support the former President, and her support could earn her a spot as his VP.

Noem was a member of the US House of Representatives prior to running for Governor. She served as the rep for SD’s at-large district from 2011 to 2019. Her experience in Congress could help legitimize her in the eyes of voters.

At just 52 years old, Noem would also be relatively young compared to many in the GOP leadership. However, her stances on abortion and other hot-button issues are strong right-wing. This could hurt her with single-issue voters, especially women, who have voted against party lines in recent elections.

Vivek Ramaswamy (+600)

The candidate with the second-best odds to win the GOP VP nomination is Vivek Ramaswamy. Currently, Ramaswamy is also one of the leading candidates to win the GOP nomination if Trump is not able to run. He is listed at +1000, behind only Nikki Haley (-200) and Ron DeSantis (+150).

Ramaswamy was a relatively unknown player before he entered into the race for the 2024 Republican nomination. He is a businessman who, like Trump, had no prior political experience before his presidential campaign.

His lack of experience showed at times during the GOP Primary Debates. Ramaswamy has also said that he would not be open to running as anyone’s VP candidate, including Trump. However, that could change if he continues to fall behind Haley and DeSantis in the 2024 GOP Primary.

Tucker Carlson (+800)

Another potential VP candidate who is lacking in political experience is former Fox host Tucker Carlson. He is currently available at +800 odds to be the Republican nominee for Vice President in 2024.

Carlson has been one of Trump’s biggest supporters since the former President lost reelection in 2020. The former Fox host even helped Trump draw attention away from the GOP Primary Debates earlier this year. Carlson aired an interview with Trump during the August GOP Debate.

The biggest selling point for Carlson is that he is recognizable, especially among Republican voters. His years on Fox made Carlson a household name for many right-wingers. However, I do not know if that will be enough to help Trump win any more votes in the election next November.

Elise Stefanik (+900)

Two potential Trump VP picks are tied at +900 in the latest betting odds. The first is New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. She has represented the Empire State’s 21st district since 2015.

Stefanik will be 40 by the time the 2024 election rolls around. If Trump wants a young running mate to help attract youthful voters, Stefanik could be the way to go.

— Ian Jaeger (@IanJaeger29) December 20, 2023

As a politician, Stefanik has slowly but surely leaned more to the right the longer she has been in Congress. She was one of Trump’s key supporters in the House when he tried to overturn the 2020 election. Stefanik even went as far as making false claims of voter fraud in an attempt to support Trump.

In the years since Stefanik has continued to support Trump publicly. For instance, she joined Marjorie Taylor Greene in introducing resolutions to expunge Trump’s impeachments from his record.

Trump has shown his support for Stefanik, too. He endorsed Stefanik as Liz Cheney’s replacement in GOP House leadership. Her age, political experience, and undying allegiance to Trump could make her his perfect running mate.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (+900)

The other candidate listed at 9-1 in the latest Trump VP odds is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. If Trump is looking for an experienced politician as his VP, it is hard to beat RFK. However, he is also turning 70 in January, so RFK could turn off voters who want younger leadership in the GOP.

RFK’s politics could also knock him out of the running to be Trump’s VP. He attempted to run for the Democratic nomination earlier this year. RFK has since withdrawn from that primary and is now running as an independent.

In theory, RFK could help Trump gain support from moderates in both major parties. However, I do not think that he will submit to being Trump’s VP. RFK is a heavy underdog to even endorse Trump (+300), and that is a lot easier than joining him on the 2024 ticket.

Nikki Haley (+1000)

Rounding out the top six in the latest odds to be the Republican VP nominee in 2024 is Nikki Haley. As I mentioned above, Haley is listed at -200 to win the GOP nomination if you do not include Trump in the odds. In markets with Trump, she is still listed at +500, behind only Trump (-1000).

BREAKING: @NikkiHaley tells reporters after a campaign event at Corn Belt Seed Solutions, "I will tell you that I don’t think Donald Trump needs to be president. I think I need to be president. I think that’s good for the country, but I will beat him fair and square. We don’t… pic.twitter.com/KEjsOxmzzD

Like many of the other candidates still vying for the presidential nomination, Haley has said she will not consider being Trump’s VP. If she does change her mind, then she would be a great fit alongside the former President.

First and foremost, Haley has among the best polling numbers of any GOP candidate not named Trump. She could help Trump regain some of the support that he has lost with moderate GOP voters. Haley also has plenty of political experience and is currently the Governor of South Carolina.

Also, despite her public opposition to being his VP, Haley has continued to support Trump. The two have also worked together before when Trump was President. Haley was Trump’s ambassador to the UN in 2017 and 2018.

Best Trump VP 2024 VP Pick

Barring any hiccups with his multiple legal battles, Trump appears to be in line to be the GOP presidential nominee for the third straight election. The biggest question at this point is who Trump will choose as his VP running mate.

Great meeting at Mar-a-Lago with my friend President Trump!

The stakes could not be higher. Patriots will continue to unite behind President Trump’s campaign to #SaveAmerica.

It’s all on the line. Let’s do this! 🇺🇸@TeamTrump pic.twitter.com/J5s66ZjD2y

— Elise Stefanik (@EliseStefanik) December 18, 2023

Based on the current Trump VP odds, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (+500) is the most likely pick. However, I think that two other candidates are better choices. I would bet on either Elise Stefanik (+900) or Nikki Haley (+1000).

Both women have plenty of political experience and have been Trump supporters for the better part of the last decade. Haley also has been polling well with voters as a presidential candidate and could join Trump to form a GOP super team.

If Haley stays true to her word and refuses to run with Trump, then Stefanik is the next-best alternative. Her steadfast allegiance to Trump in the wake of the January 6th insurrection has made her a favorite with MAGA voters. She is also relatively young, especially compared to Trump and President Biden.

Prediction:

Elise Stefanik (+900)

Who Do You Think Trump Will Pick as His VP?

There are many questions surrounding the future of the GOP, including which candidate they will run as Trump’s VP in 2024. I think Elise Stefanik is the best betting option to be Trump’s VP pick. Check out BetUS Sportsbook for more great political betting odds.
