Starship Troopers: Extermination Gets Horde Mode in Second Early Access Update
Developer Offworld Industries along with Sony Pictures Consumer Products has released the second major update for Starship Troopers: Extermination. Starship Troopers: Extermination is a first-person co-op shooter set in the iconic universe of the same name and is currently available on PC in Early Access. The latest update to arrive is Update 0.4.0 and it is the most comprehensive update released for the game to date which brings the much-awaited Horde Mode to Starship Troopers: Extermination.
Horde Mode is a brand-new survival combat mode to be added to Starship Troopers: Extermination and it pits players against swarms of enemies that gradually increase in difficulty and creates the ultimate test of your skills and wits. You will need to fortify your base and mow down incoming legions of invading Bugs and then take a step back to manage your customizable player profile and rack up stats to earn bragging rights as the number-one exterminator in the galaxy. Update 0.4 finally adds the player stat tracking and player profiles to the game.
This will allow Vanguards to tabulate their personal extermination metrics. Since this is still in Early Access, the first phase will allow players to check their core stats such as total kills, revives, deaths, wins, losses, and extractions. Additional stats will be added to this screen with future updates. These will include filters by Game Mode and Class along with different categories like kills per weapon, and what type of bug you killed the most. Offworld Industries is working closely with fans and players and will continue to add more demanded features in future updates.
The developer will try their best to finalize features and mechanics to build upon and evolve before the game’s eventual transition into 1.0. The upcoming weeks and months will see more updates and content to arrive in Starship Troopers: Extermination and you can jump into the Early Access version of the game right now to participate in this phase as well.
