Infection Free Zone Brings Post-Apocalyptic Survival to Steam

Infection Free Zone

As Earth grapples with a global catastrophe, the battle for survival intensifies, with over 400,000 players demonstrating their readiness to confront the terrifying virus in the Infection Free Zone demo and prologue. Jutsu Games and Games Operators announce that the conflict between survivors and infected will soon escalate to new heights as Infection Free Zone gears up for Early Access on Steam, set to launch on April 11th.

The origin of the virus remains shrouded in mystery, but its rapid spread across the planet strikes fear into the hearts of humanity. Infected individuals lose control, succumbing to an unstoppable madness that drives them relentlessly toward the last remaining survivors. Players, as humanity’s last hope, must establish the titular Infection Free Zone. As leaders of a group fighting for survival, they must build and lead a base that lays the groundwork for a new civilization amidst the chaos.

The location of the Infection Free Zone is entirely in the hands of players, who can select any city worldwide using real-world data from OpenStreetMap. Whether it’s the bustling streets of New York, the sunny beaches of Miami, the romantic alleys of Paris, or any other city imaginable, players have the power to transform it into a battleground. The game replicates each city’s topography, including roads and buildings, allowing players to strategize effectively based on their knowledge of the terrain.

Infection Free Zone combines elements of post-apocalyptic strategy and city rebuilding. Humanity, caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, must adapt to a harsh new reality. Commanders must make decisive decisions, repurposing existing structures into shelters and factories, establishing farms, and fortifying defenses with walls, gates, and towers. Scavenging resources from the remnants of civilization is crucial for survival, but players must remain vigilant, as the infected are not the only threat lurking in the shadows.
