Take On Enemies Around the Town
To make money in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, start by battling low-level enemies in Hawaii and Yokohama. They drop small amounts of money, but it adds up fast! As you level up, you’ll encounter stronger enemies marked with blue icons. Use a Smackdown move to quickly defeat them. Bigger enemy groups give more money, especially bosses. Look for the Newfaux Riche, a wealthy enemy near the Crystal Aloha Resort. The boss version, King of Bling, drops the Noveau Riche Crown, boosting money earned in battles. You can also trade Fortune Points for a Lucky Money Charm at the Shrine, offering the same benefit for 15 points.
Defeat Sujimon Trainers
Once you find the Anaconda Shopping Center in Hawaii, you can go to the PC Shop to meet Kasuga’s old friend, the Sujimon Professor. He’ll introduce you to the Sujimon League based in Hawaii, where you can battle with teams of Sujimon. There are four levels of Trainers in Hawaii, each with different difficulties. The harder the Trainer, the better the reward you’ll get. Join the Sujimon League early, catch strong Sujimon, and train them up to easily beat Platinum-level trainers for $1000 each. The Trainer levels are:
Bronze – $50
Silver – $100
Gold – $500
Platinum – $1000
And watch out for the Discreet Four – they’re the toughest trainers with the best rewards!
Feed The Dogs
In Hawaii, you can feed four types of animals: cats, dogs, birds, and cows. Use the Aloha Links app to befriend them. Once you’re buddies, they’ll give you gifts. Dogs give Silver Plates, which pawn shops buy for $100 each. Dogs are happy with simple snacks like sandwiches, chips, or dog food, so it’s a good way to earn money with a little spending.
Pawn All Unwanted Items
Regularly visit the pawn shop to sell stuff you don’t need. Sell extra low-level weapons and items like Paper, Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Plates found in chests and dumpsters. Even though each item might not sell for much, if you keep checking every dumpster and container for loot, it can add up quickly! Also, sell upgraded weapons you don’t use anymore or gifts that nobody in your group wants.
Convert Dokobucks From Dondoko Island
In Chapter 6 of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Ichiban goes to Dondoko Island, a special resort where they use a currency called Dokobucks. You can change Dokobucks back into regular dollars, usually getting more money. By investing in Dondoko Island, making guests happy, and getting big payments, you can earn a lot of cash. Games of Skill And Chance
Ichiban Kasuga still enjoys gambling even though he’s mostly left the yakuza life. In Yokohama and Hawaii, you can find games like shogi, mahjong, and Texas hold’em. But be ready to invest some cash to play, and some use points instead of cash. Koi-Koi, found in Little Japan, can earn you a lot, from $1000 to $10000 on harder levels. But luck can change, and even skilled players don’t always win.
Don’t Skip Sub Stories And Conversations
In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, most side stories involve Kasuga getting into trouble or being part of local adventures. Some, like those where Kasuga takes on a part-time job, offer good money rewards. You need to finish these side stories to unlock certain ways to make money, like Sujimon Battles, Aloha Links, and Dondoko Island.
Drink Links are chats you have with your friends when your Bond level is high. Usually, only the final Drink Link gives a reward, but it can be big. For example, the last Drink Link with Eric Tomizawa earns the party $20,000 in one go.
The Hawaiian Hunt
Unlock the Hawaiian Haunt dungeon in Chapter 5 for a great way to earn money in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It’s like other dungeons in JRPGs, with levels to explore and bosses to defeat. You can start using it late in the game, but it’s helpful throughout. The difficulty levels vary based on your characters’ levels, starting around level 18.
