With just days remaining, developers seeking recognition at the industry’s biggest event and artists aiming to showcase their talents must submit their projects by February 29th. The BIG Festival serves as a platform for recognizing the world’s best independent games across 18 diverse categories, with some awards offering cash prizes to incentivize continued development efforts. Starting from the 2024 edition, the awards ceremony will be integrated into gamescom latam, an internationally renowned event making its debut in Latin America this year.
Key categories include Best Game, Best Game: Brazil, and Best Game: Latin America, alongside various technical accolades. Games spanning all platforms, consoles, and media formats are eligible for entry, provided they can be tested and evaluated by the Selection Committee. Last year’s edition saw a record-breaking 626 game submissions from 55 countries, with 110 games ultimately selected to participate in the competitive exhibition and featured in the event’s digital showcase.
