Square Enix has announced the eagerly awaited launch of season two, GROOVY DISCO, for FOAMSTARS, the popular online 4v4 foam party shooter. Scheduled to go live on March 8, 2024, at 5 pm PST, the new season promises an array of fresh content, including a new character, modes, and a plethora of Free and Premium cosmetic items. FOAMSTARS is currently available as a February PS Plus monthly game, allowing subscribers to dive into the action at no additional cost until March 4, 2024.
Season Two, GROOVY DISCO, marks a significant milestone for FOAMSTARS and will be accessible to all players from March 8, 2024, at 5 pm PST, until April 12, 2024, at 5pm PST.

Here’s a glimpse of what Season Two has in store:
New FOAMSTAR “Coiff Guy” Joins the Party: Players can unlock and compete with the latest FOAMSTAR, “Coiff Guy,” introduced during the Happy FriYAY Party event in Season One Starry Pop. “Coiff Guy” awaits as a Tier 31 reward in the Season Pass or can be instantly acquired through the Premium Pass. Expanded FOAMSTAR Missions: Dive deeper into the individual stories of the FOAMSTARS with the addition of Missions 4-6. Explore their backgrounds and gameplay mechanics while facing off against the formidable “Dark Ramzey” in Mission 6.
Additionally, Season Two will feature a series of limited-time events:
Ranked Party: Ascend the ranks in two seasonal events: the solo player-based Ranked Party Lonestar and the team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe. Climb through seven ranks, from Bronze Star to Party Legend, and participate in Rank-Up Trials. Extreme Party: Engage in themed modes like the All Coiff Guy Party and the Super Duel Party for thrilling one-on-one battles. Happy FriYAY Party: Enjoy a weekend-only event for a sneak peek at the upcoming FOAMSTAR for the next season.

Players can earn XP, progress through tiers, and unlock rewards by participating in battles, completing missions, and tackling Weekly Challenges. Those opting for the Premium Season Pass at $5.99 will gain immediate access to all rewards up to their current tier.
FOAMSTARS will be available for purchase for $29.99 starting March 5, 2024, via the PlayStation Store and requires a PlayStation Plus subscription. Square Enix also revealed three brand-new Anime and Manga books arriving later this year.
