Updated Super Bowl 58 Odds: Will the Cowboys Win It All in 2023?

The latest Super Bowl 58 odds favor the San Francisco 49ers over all 31 other NFL teams. San Fran is coming off a dominant victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly still holds the top seed in the NFC, but that could change if they lose another game before the end of the season.

All but one of the 32 NFL teams are still technically alive for the playoffs. Super Bowl betting sites have betting odds for every team, except the Panthers (1-12). Carolina is the only team not still alive in the playoff race.

The 49ers (+325) have the shortest futures odds of any team to win Super Bowl 58. They are closely followed by the Chiefs (+550), Eagles (+550), and Ravens (+600). Dallas (+850) is the only team not currently at the top of their division that has shorter than 10-1 odds.

Can the 49ers Win Super Bowl 58?

San Francisco started the season 5-0 but then lost three games in a row. A series of injuries to many of their top offensive stars was too much for the 49ers during that mid-season slump.

Now that they are healthy on offense, the 49ers are rolling once again. They just beat the Eagles in Philadelphia 42-19 in a dominant road win. After their win, San Frisco jumped to the top of most Super Bowl 58 betting boards.

At +325, San Fran has the shortest odds of any team to win the Super Bowl this season. Assuming that they can stay healthy, they should at least make another NFC Championship Game appearance.

My biggest concern for the 49ers is whether they can stay healthy enough to fire on all cylinders. As we saw earlier in the season, QB Brock Purdy needs a full complement of playmakers around him to play at his current level.

I would also be concerned about the 49ers winning a rematch in Philly in January. San Fran can get the number one seed if they win out and the Eagles drop another game this season. Even if that does not happen, the 49ers are definitely on the short list of teams I would bet on to win the Super Bowl this year.

Will the Cowboys Win the Super Bowl?

Another NFC team that is a popular Super Bowl pick at the top football betting sites is the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas (+850) has the shortest odds of any team not currently at the top of their respective division.

The Cowboys have a chance at winning the NFC East and an outside shot at the NFC’s number one seed. Dallas needs the following to happen to get the top seed in the NFC:

Cowboys beat the Eagles in Week 14
Eagles and 49ers both lose another game this season
Dallas wins out

Another loss by the Lions (9-3) would also help improve the Cowboys’ chances of getting the top seed. If Dallas can beat Philly next week, then they will at least have the inside track to win the NFC East. That would guarantee at least a couple of home games for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys have been dominant at home, so having a home-field advantage would be huge for Dallas. However, their history of postseason collapses in recent years makes them difficult to wager on.

I will believe Dallas can win the playoffs when I see it. For now, at least, I would hold off on betting that the Cowboys will win Super Bowl 58.

Can the Chiefs Win Another Super Bowl?

The team with the best Super Bowl 58 odds in the AFC is the Kansas City Chiefs (+550). Despite their struggles this season, it is still hard to imagine the Chiefs having anything less than a deep postseason run. The defending champs did just lose in Green Bay to the Packers, though.

Kansas City had similar struggles in the regular season last year. That did not stop them from winning the Super Bowl.

I believe that Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes will be able to figure out the offense eventually. However, the Chiefs’ receivers need to step up big time for KC to make another Super Bowl run. Their loss to the Packers also knocked the Chiefs down to the fourth seed in the AFC.

On the plus side, the Chiefs’ defense is the best it has been in the Mahomes Era. Mahomes also has the most playoff wins of any starting QB in the AFC’s current playoff picture.

It is hard to bet against Kansas City at this point in time. If you are looking for an AFC team to win it all this season, the Chiefs are the way to go.

Will the Eagles Win the Super Bowl in 2023?

Philadelphia (10-2) is coming off one of its worst losses in recent memory. Despite the 41-19 beatdown at the hands of the 49ers, the Eagles still have control of the top seed in the NFC. They are tied with the Chiefs at +550 odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) December 4, 2023

If the Eagles want to repeat as NFC champs, then they need to fix their defensive problems. That will be easier said than done at this point in the season. Philly recently signed former Colts LB Shaq Leonard, which should help.

Leonard has four All-Pro nods during his six-year career, including three First-Team selections. He should help solidify the middle of the Eagles defense. However, Philly’s secondary is still an issue that teams can exploit in the playoffs.

If the defense can tighten up, then that should take some pressure off of Jalen Hurts and the offense. We have seen Hurts carry the team before, and I think he can do it again.

Will the Lions Finally Win a Super Bowl?

Detroit (+1500) is arguably in its best position to win a Super Bowl in the history of the franchise. At 9-3, the Lions have all but wrapped up the top spot in the NFC North.

However, there are plenty of reasons to doubt Detroit as we enter the home stretch of the regular season. First and foremost, they are the Lions. Also, their offense has struggled against some of the top defensive lines in the NFL this season.

Jared Goff’s level of play dips dramatically when he is pressured. The Lions will have to face the likes of the Eagles, 49ers, and Cowboys in the postseason. All three of those teams have dominant defensive lines and could embarrass Detroit in the postseason.

Best Bet To Win Super Bowl 58

Sports betting sites are favoring the 49ers (+325) to win the Super Bowl this season. The Eagles (+550) and Dallas (+850) are among the top contenders in the NFC as well. All three teams are on the short list of teams with shorter than 10-1 odds.

However, I think these squads in the NFC will beat each other up in the playoffs. The team that emerges will likely have another tough battle on their hands in the Super Bowl.

Despite being the deeper, tougher conference, the champion from the AFC will have an easier path to the Super Bowl. I think Kansas City win the AFC again this season, and be the fresher team in the Big Game. With that in mind, I would bet on the Chiefs (+550) to win Super Bowl 58.

What Super Bowl 2023 Odds Will You Bet On?

San Francisco is the favorite in the latest Super Bowl 58 odds. However, I believe the Chiefs (+550) are the better bet at this point. Check out the list above for the latest odds for every team, then head over to BetUS Sportsbook to make your Super Bowl 58 wagers.
